Reblog these posts as much as you like. No copyright is imposed. About the author: Keith is a "pratyeka" mystic according to Buddhism because his Mystical Experiences of Reality (MER) were spontaneous. (He is not a Buddhist or member of any religion). He had MERs every year from the age of 15 to 35 years of age. Pratyeka mystics don't teach, preach, evangelise, or prosletise what they know. However, when Keith recognises those who are chosen and driven to seek Ultimate Reality he does reach out to them, cautiously, to help them stop floundering and recognise themselves, know what is happening to them. Then his inclination is to remove himself unless called upon. All Is Well.

Human expectation of equality stems from our sense of fairness, although there does not appear to be any fairness in nature. The hierarchy is obvious in the food chain, while all the species compete to survive, evolving constantly to either dominate or go extinct. But co-existence of various forms of life, is also frequently evident in nature, which is not equality, but a mutual cooperation or acceptance.
In human societies, equal opportunity for all is fair, perhaps the only way for the natural tendencies and inclinations of each individual to bloom. Humans may find that aiming for an understanding and acceptance of their diversity, that allows all individuals to reach their full potential, is much more rewarding than a goal of equality, which realistically could never happen.
