When asked to involve myself in worldly activities, ideologies and opinions, I’m often tempted to say out loud:
“Through no fault of my own I was made a mystic. My comparatively modern brain was set at macro, not micro.
“This condition excludes much interest in the minor detritus of the primitive evolutionary stage of perennial combustion in which the human condition presently wallows …
“But express personal, spiritual strivings and I’ll do my very limited best to address your spiritual condition.
“Your human wants are extinguished by the needs they have already been gifted so your only progress left is spiritual.”
But I rarely do.
