The word ‘singularity’ is being used to describe when technology grows to the point where robots can finally replace humans.
Elon Musk says there will be up to 50 billion AI robots by then. (The human population is eight billion at present but the birth rate is already dropping worldwide).
Will robots be experientially aware of Reality by then?
The Reality of all existence mystics have experienced historically is not human, chemical or anything biological.
Reality is pure spiritual energy. It exists outside all human existence, intervention or understanding. Yet It creates and directs all known and unknown existence, including humans.
Also my understanding is that individual humans can only have Reality revealed to them by Reality Itself.
No amount of good human or robotic intentions or efforts can of themselves induce the (mystic) revelation of Reality.
Only Reality can reveal Itself. Reality rules.
Robots are artificial, created by the human mind. They can’t actually experience anything yet. They do not have brains or minds to process such experiences. Everything they presently know is secondhand, based on humanity’s past and present experiences, knowledge and thinking.*
BUT, how did hydrogen many billions of years ago become human? What such similarity, if it really exists, will or can make metal and plastic robots conscious, as spiritually experienced as humans in general and mystics in particular?
Are robots or AI being made fully conscious by Reality? Is this the next big step in evolution?
Will any such iteration of AI roboticism really ever be able to cross the final mystical gap in experience between humans and robots?
Will/Can AI robots be given this mystical experience of Reality?
Mystics are clearly part of humanity’s Darwinian evolution. But are AI robots?
