PhD: “(A) shift in focus that I’m going through might be seen as part of a shift beyond a transitional phase of ‘consciousness beyond the rational’.
“(An academic colleague) et al are, I suspect, still at the first transition: a recognition that there might BE an alternative to rational consciousness (a huge step forwards compared to most academics).
“I was at that point in the 1980s and have, since then, been becoming less scientific in my thinking and more Taoist. It seems that now is the time to take the next transition . . .”
Ķeith: I’ve read through the first four or so of your essays and saved them all for further exploration. Thank you very much for sharing such a cornucopia of thoughtfulness.
My reaction is you might be a Seeker, that is, “one who hungers and thirsts after righteousness,” i.e. Absolute Reality.
Your writing presents signs of someone already chosen by the Absolute Reality I experienced several times a year from the age of early 15 years to about 35 years, to reveal Itself to you …
The signs indicate you are being taken out of all human experience, all cultural accretion, all such mind stuff that is anyway impermanent and not spiritually required. Even your logic and reason are drifting away as not necessary to your personal evolution.
What real truths you are receiving, in my experiences, are ineffable, unteachable, and from a non human, non biological Source that is everlastingly knowing, benign, accepting and reliable.
