DID COLIN WILSON ALMOST SAY IT ALL?

At the age of 24 this Leicester, England, youth produced what was a media bombshell of a book called The Outsider

It is still a momentous scholarly recognition and definition of the historical phenomena of mysticism.

Though an intellectual and extremely well read, Colin Wilson’s voice carries his description of this Blog’s subject simply and clearly.  Some would say he says it all.

I was there when the The Outsider came out. He made me wonder if I was an Outsider but I never thought he was referring to my mystical experiences of Reality (MERs), so I neglected him.

His passion seemed to be how peak experiences provide a reason/purpose for the perennial human question, What’s It All About?

But his seeming attachment of the experience exclusively to humanity still belies my MERs that peak experiences/MER’s have a very limited human context.

To me, these experiences are the very essence of all existence known and unknown – of which the human race is merely a minute particle …
