“COSMO-EMOTIVISM” !!?

The Scientific and Medical Network (SMN) in the UK recently stated that “We are told that the Cosmic Mind or God is beyond our understanding.”

It promised an examination of qualities “we may infer in the Cosmic Mind” suggested by author, philosopher, and professor of philosophy David Skrbina. He talks of such things as “Cosmo-Emotivism: Emotion, Thought, and Feeling in the Cosmic Mind.”

SMN went on, “For over two millennia, philosophers and theologians have speculated on the existence of some kind of a world-soul or universal mind.

“There are, in fact, solid rational arguments in favour of such a thing, perhaps something akin to what others call ‘God’.”

SMN suggests Dr. Skrbina argues in favour of a world-mind. The professor articulates some features or characteristics of such a mind that can be reasonably inferred, says SMN

Dr. Skrbina also puts “special emphasis on the role of emotions, and how they might function in the context of a world-mind” says SMN.

COMMENT:

Unless Dr Skrbina has had the direct experience of the mystical existence of Reality, MER, I can only say he can infer nothing about Reality that would be true. Experience is truth.

None of my multiple spontaneous MERs over many years contained any reference to anything like “Emotion, Thought, and Feeling in the Cosmic Mind.”

Are these all human experiences, mind stuff perhaps from what you could call the human spirit, but certainly not the cosmic spirit mystics have had revealed to them by Reality.

The nearest experience I had of emotion in Reality, was Acceptance. This was not the emotional ‘lovey-dovey, hugs-and-honey’ of the human level.

Reality’s Acceptance of us is axiomatic, automatic – a complete extinguishing of all our blemishes, whether humanly real or just evil mind stuff, with no demand for repentance that has no significance in Reality.

Reality’s Acceptance is a profundity of divine care for us individually, beyond human conception, of a total personal belonging in Reality from the beginning and end of all things.

From that moment the mystic is born, completely humbled in a relief and gratitude beyond expression.

When this acceptance happens the jaw and head figuratively drop to the chest, the knees fail and drop you outstretched onto the floor in a complete, abject surrender of any notion of pride or dignity that are gone forever.

No one who has gone through this experience can ever take human ‘inferences’ and the present primitive beginnings of the human condition seriously.

Reality rules Its way. All Is Well.
