Reblog these posts as much as you like. No copyright is imposed. About the author: Keith is a "pratyeka" mystic according to Buddhism because his Mystical Experiences of Reality (MER) were spontaneous. (He is not a Buddhist or member of any religion). He had MERs every year from the age of 15 to 35 years of age. Pratyeka mystics don't teach, preach, evangelise, or prosletise what they know. However, when Keith recognises those who are chosen and driven to seek Ultimate Reality he does reach out to them, cautiously, to help them stop floundering and recognise themselves, know what is happening to them. Then his inclination is to remove himself unless called upon. All Is Well. View all posts by Mysticexperiences.net
Most enjoyable. I guess I am probably verging on being an advanced meditator, and the experience continues to grow.
Hard to describe but I really have found that my whole consciousness has changed.
I must read some of his research.

I have taken a look at Dr Walsh’s website. I guess my impression is that it is very wordy, and full of hyperbole and self abasement. I am sure that he must have been on an interesting journey but overall, as with most such people, I find myself realising, very strongly, that this is a journey one must take on one’s own.
I don’t think it pays to listen too much other than to a few very charismatic characters like that excellent Franciscan Richard Rohr. And even then, one video was quite enough for me.
I suppose what I am saying is this: for many years I made no progress because I still though I might find it all written out in books.
I was wrong. The only way I have progressed is by practice. Pure and simple. Yes, in the past I have read everything from Buddhist sutras to the Christian Bible. And of course books by gurus such as Ram Dass and Alan Watts.
Not that I am criticizing any of these people – many of them have some good messages. Apart From Choppy Deepak of course. And Tolle, god forbid.
But essentially, for me at any rate, I have had to row my own boat. A situation I am now very comfortable with and would have no other.

Yes, Reality’s call only comes to individuals. Thereafter the individual is groomed. Their own efforts are not their own.
Lust, anger, greed, attachments and ego are reduced to irrelevance – human attachments and ego being the last and most resistant!
Then the individual becomes its true self in Reality – still in the world but not of it; detached, cosmically conscious, content.
As ever,
Keith.
