Caroline Myss (pronounced mace; born December 2, 1952) is an American author of 10 books and many audio recordings about mysticism and wellness. She is most well known for publishing Anatomy of the Spirit (1996). She also co-published The Creation of Health with Dr C Norman Shealy MD – ex Harvard professor of neurology. Her most recent book, Archetypes: Who Are You? was published in 2013. Myss describes herself as a medical intuitive and a mystic. WIKIPEDIA

Some may find relevance in this lecture. However, I disagree with her saying what she calls soul and I call Reality pays attention to human wants.

It doesn’t. My mystic and physical experiences tell me Reality gives us all we need and is not interested in the spiritual irrelevance of what our minds want.

So when Mistress Wyss says the Soul/Reality is finally all about creating better humans, I disagree.

But when she says Soul/Reality is not Catholic and doesn’t have any human affiliations I agree with her.

All such affiliations are invented by the human mind. The mind is the source of all the negativity, evil and pain of the world.

My own mystical experiences of the Reality of which we are all a part, reveal humans have no lasting relevance to Reality.

We are here to harvest consciousness. That’s all.

But Mistress Wyss’ conclusion is that the revelation of Itself that Reality uses to create mystics is all about helping humans become better humans.

From my perspective this is the classic, historical mistake some mystics have made. It is the reason Jesus’ self made mission failed. Soul/Reality cannot be evangelised –  or used for human purposes.

My mystical experiences lead me to see humans as spiritual particles of Reality Itself to which we eventually return, unchanged souls intact!

Our abilities to harvest consciousness  are limited to our senses, plus some extra-sense intuition, but that’s all.

We are not even aware of what may exist under our noses outside our limited sensual abilities, either here or in the cosmos.

Mystics are given much more awareness but it’s still a comparatively small amount of the total vastness beyond human comprehension this side of death.

Nevertheless, Mistress Wyss has an agreeably enthusiastic, energetic personality when explaining her mysticism. Could some of it be useful in your development?

  1. I’m curious , would you explain fuller what is meant by harvesting consciousness?

(hopefully I’ll see your response, if not I’ll stumble upon it eventually)

    1. All existence is a Reality that is consciousness, a non biological, non human spiritual energy that is continually expanding everything known and unknown through its scattered particles. We are scattered particles of Reality.

Everything that exists, including humans, is part of and adds to that ever expanding consciousness of the totality of all existence.

But human consciousness is presently limited by its bodily senses – seeing, hearing, tasting, feeling – and a feral mind that is absorbed in lust, anger, greed, attachments, emotions, ‘feelings’, ego and fruitless mind ideologies such as communism, socialism, liberalism, conservatism, and wokeism.

Mind has no part in the latent spiritual awareness in everything, including humans.

I’ve just taken this from a post in draft right now. Hope it helps.

      Keith.

  2. Perhaps the simplest and most peaceful way to live is to admit ignorance and to ignore the big questions. That at least is what I have chosen to do. My intuition suggests that there is indeed a vast reality out there which we will never comprehend with our very limited senses. I have stopped trying!
