ARE YOU MAROONED? ARE YOU ALONE?

For a seeker or mystic I’ve come to the conclusion there is nothing spiritual to be gained by any study of the human race, past or present.

The human race has never overcome the lust, anger, greed, attachment, ego, aggression, or narcissistic competitiveness that has bedeviled every generation of the human race from the very beginning.

Eighty per cent of the human race has never had the Mystic Experience of Reality, MER, in which everything known and unknown exists.

So what do we do?

In my experience we must never allow humanity to dictate our personal lives, tell us what we are.

In their spiritual ignorance, humans and their works can only persuade you to be a human ‘who’, not the ‘what’ you really are. 

So?

Enter the silence. Try not to listen to ‘yourself’. Don’t ‘help’ or interfere. Just let go.

Keep this personal practice your secret. Tell no one, discuss it with no one. Just be. Eventually, all will follow as the night the day, as the saying goes.

We are not marooned. We are not just human driven, never alone.

All is well.

About the author: Keith is a "pratyeka" mystic according to Buddhism because his Mystical Experiences of Reality (MER) were spontaneous. (He is not a Buddhist or member of any religion). He had MERs every year from the age of 15 to 35 years of age. Pratyeka mystics don't teach, preach, evangelise, or prosletise what they know. However, when Keith recognises those who are chosen and driven to seek Ultimate Reality he does reach out to them, cautiously, to help them stop floundering and recognise themselves, know what is happening to them.   1. Hmm, I’m not so sure to be honest. The ghastly human race is, of course, a part of reality, even if a rotting and corrosive part. I’m not sure any species is much nicer but of course the worst bit is that human behaviour is conscious. Animal bestiallity is not. I’m finding my work on creating a “conscious” AI hugely illuminating. It’s leading me to question the very basis of reality, and in particular what “we” are. I’m pretty sure the answer is “nothing special”. I’m about to press the button on the hardware. In principle I have decided on the software stack. I know Giles uses Apple – tell him I’ve decided on a Mac Pro M5 max with 128gb unified ram . A bit of a gross extravagance but at my age, who cares. All good wishes, A

  2. Anthony, my experiences were that Reality as I call It is everything, and I am that.

    I presume all we humans are that too, whether some ever know it or not.

    In our present garb of humaness our life span is limited and we return to our true selves in Reality at our inevitable death, hidden purpose accomplished presumably.

    Humanity will eventually become extinct with the advent of AI. AI can fulfill Reality’s evolutionary purpose better than we can.

    (Where that leaves mystics I don’t know. Grok’s research seems to suggest mystics have a special purpose , [of which I’m not persuaded] ).

    However, Grok has taught me human history shows I am not alone in my experiences, (something Ron Krumpos finally got into my head before his passing!).

    Will pass on your Apple message! That model should see you out, as the saying goes!
