SUMMARY Of BLOG’S CONCLUSIONS SO FAR

This Blog is a summation of a lifetime’s experiences and personal development as the result of multiple, spontaneous yearly experiences of Ultimate Reality.

After four years of writing about these experiences on the web page, mysticexperiences.net, I can summarise my conclusions as follows:

  • There is an Ultimate Reality over all existence, over everything known and unknown.
  • Humans exist as part of it.
  • Nothing exists outside it.
  • It is outside general current human experience.
  • It is not biological
  • It only manifests to individuals, for reasons yet unknown.
  • It is not created or influenced by humans.
  • Humans have no control of it whatsoever.
  • Nothing human affects that Ultimate Reality.
  • With human individuals it is benign, accepting, nurturing, gives ineffable joy.
  • It is indifferent to human constructs such as family, culture, or social organisations national or otherwise.
  • Human evolution could be absorbing into this Ultimate Reality, eventually making these temporary human bodies and minds extinct for something ethereal. Is this what human beings are all about?

  1. A most enjoyable post and I have a deep conviction that you are right at some level. It very much gels in a way with my liking for de Teilhard and Frank Tipler – two more fingers pointing at the moon. Somehow I feel that all this is “true” although my own visions of such a reality have been fleeting and partial at best. Our destiny is to evolve towards something at this stage we would consider “godlike” with a small “g” – yes that would be a wonderful outcome.

  2. “Humans exist as a part of it.” D. T. Suzuki preferred the word ‘subsist’ to ‘exist’. How can something whose subsistence is dependent on something else, something which is not its own cause, be said to exist? When the masters speak of the transitory nature of dharma, sentient beings are included.

ME: Human words are no way to understanding the ineffable. Everything is Reality. Reality is everything. Was Susuki anthropomorphising the mystical experience of Reality? Reality cannot be understood by anthropomorphising It. Reality can only be experienced when Reality decides to be experienced.

YOU: When the masters speak of the transitory nature of dharma, sentient beings are included.

ME: Dharma is a man made dogma. It has no part in any understanding of Reality. Actual personal experience is the only key to knowing Reality.
