This very internationally distinguished scholar had the mystical experience of Reality, MER, more than once. He describes it in this interview with immense clarity and complete acceptance.
Interestingly he refers to the original Oxford university collection of 6,000 such individual experiences now archived for scholarly and scientific research in the university of Wales.
He also refers to research showing thirty per cent of the human race has had the MER experience.

Mystical Experiences of Reality 
Very much enjoyed the interview. Although it has to be said that as a philosopher with deep religious leanings, he was no doubt pre-disposed to the experience of MERs.
His description is just what I have myself experienced on so many occasions. And his view of Reality is one that I can certainly accord with.
